`I have to say that I feel the same way. I am newly single and I am so afraid that I won't find a woman.

`I am a straight, bicurious (I guess!) woman who has a great friendship (which led to friend with benefits for awhile) with an FTM, pre-op.
I would like to find someone I am a bit more compatible with who is FTM and learn more about it.

`For what it's worth, I want to encourage you all that we do exist! I wouldn't completely rule out bio males, but FTM--yummy Best of luck to everyone in their search for connection, companionship, and more!

I agree one hundred percent. technically if you live by labels i am a Lesbian. But my attraction is always defintely towards those who are more masculine. So then that would make me bi. I have dated men before yes. I find myself more attracted to FTMs. But then again i dont really see the regard for defining who you date or love by thier atanomy. I think its a waste of time to put those people you are interested in into a box. I am a personality girl. You either are attractive on the inside or i could really care less whats on the outside.

`Here's food for thought: maybe you guys are ruling people out too quickly!
I believe in FREE LOVE (no labels--I love who I love and that's the INDIVIDUAL), and as a VERY straight-looking female, I get NO love at any LGBT functions. I go to gay/lesbian clubs when I can, attend rallies, protests, whatever...but NOBODY approaches me and even when I try to talk to someone, they assume I'm trying to make small talk and excuse themselves.
I don't really understand...what exactly do most FtMs (or lesbians) prefer? Do I have to be "butch?" Get more piercings or a tattoo? In desperation to look the way I feel (which is open and free to anything and anyone) I shaved half my head last week.
The result? Same...no love. )=
So remember sometimes people who don't LOOK like the stereotype of queer...ARE!

`Beibei - a friend of mine who is lesbian used to have the same problem as she loves her skirts and has really long hair.
I can't speak for lesbians...I can't even really speak for FTMs as every person has individual tastes, but as for myself...I like girls with long hair, generally speaking, I like femmes. However, as a straight FTM, if I'm in a gay club, I'm not going to go and chat to girls a) well because I find it difficult to do that anywhere as I'm pretty shy and b) chances are, whoever I'm talking to is going to be a lesbian and will therefore not be interested in me.
See the problem?
I've been single for the past 5 years and it really sucks, especially now that a lot of my friends are getting married (or civil partnershipped). I've been on a few dates in the past couple of years but it inevitably ends when I tell them about my past, which is pretty frustrating...
