I'm just a guy who is open minded and caring enough not to discriminate against anybody because of physical qualities they were born with, including with regard to my search for a partner. Update: As of March '06, I vowed not to drive my car anymore until at least the end of the summer, or maybe even for an entire year. 6 months into it I have no regrets - life has been fantastic, so much so that I've decided to get rid of my car! Retired, fun, middle aged male aspires to meet new friends within a reasonable distance of the U of M west bank/seward area, and if the chemistry is there, to engage upon a long term relationship. Personal qualities: mild mannered, patient, loving, not into pain (except for maybe the occasional light patting on the rear when asked -jk), intelligent, slow to anger, and helpful. I place a high value on friendship, integrity/honesty, and people who can think outside the box. Interests include: nature, waterfalls, animals, humor, bicycling, tennis, walking, nutrition, ecology, trying new things, culinary art, computers, movies, a wide variety of music (currently exploring World Music), getting together with friends, and giving tension relieving massage. In a society which seems to reward only perfection, I beg to differ. My motto is that you don't love a woman/hermaphrodite because s/he is beautiful (and make no mistake - s/he IS beautiful), but rather a woman/hermaphrodite's beauty is illuminated 'on the wide screen' because you love him/her. I am open to female companionship, possibly leading to a long-term/live-in relationship, either in the city, and/or in an intentional community, and/or in a warmer climate on permacultured land . . oh, the possibilities are endless. Keys to my heart include acceptance (hey, I'm not your typical guy!) of both me and others who may be at least as far from the norm, and an appreciation of both good songs and good music (there is a difference).
